My wife and I are not SCA members but are interested in possible involvement. Limitations are time--I'm a pastor of a fairly large church in Newport NH so I'm working on Sunday mornings, and weeknights can be busy depending on what meetings I have.
I did Revolutionary War reenactments in the 70's and early 80's so I'm familiar with the concept of reenactment in general.
Our interests include spinning, using drop spindles and spinning wheels (Anita), general crafts (Anita again) and cooking, and music (Anita), and chess, religion, philosophy, art, history, and music for me. I'm particularly interested in playing chess by medieval rules.
We live in Newport NH and would be interested in SCA activities in the area. |

Welcome from the Southeast part of the State. I also used to participate in American Civil War and Revolutionary war reenactments as well as volunteering as a historical interpreter for the National Park Service.
The SCA is a bit more open to your interpretation for time period. You can be as historically correct as you want (and wallet allows you) to be. There are a lot of good people in the area that can help.
I'm not much of a chess player (not for trying), but would defiantly be interested in a game.
